DeMelo Scores Go-Ahead Goal Late, Jets Defeat Kraken 2-1

The hero of the night was Dylan DeMelo, who scored the game-winning goal in his 600th NHL game, capping off a remarkable individual milestone with a moment of pure elation. Mark Scheifele had also scored for Winnipeg, and Matty Beniers put up the one tally for Seattle. Despite a valiant effort from Joey Daccord, who stopped 34 of 36 shots faced, the Kraken were unable to hold on to a 1-1 tie in the final seconds. Devils VS Senators 6-2, 12/29/23

 






   The Devils played against the Senators on Friday, December 29th in Ottawa. They got another great win and will be playing the Bostin Bruins on December 30th as their last game in 2023. The Devils won with a 6-2 score!

   Drake Batherson strikes first, Jack Hughes scores soon after and ties the game 1-1! Jesper Bratt gives the Devils the lead in only SECONDS left in first! The final score of first period being 2-1.


   Dawson Mercer scores his 10th of the season. Tyler Toffoli scores! HOLY TOFFOLI!?! The final score of second period being 4-1.

 

   Brendan Smith scores his first goal as a Devil! Jacob Berard-Docker scores the last goal the Senators get for the rest of the game. LUUUUUUUUUKKKKKKKEEEEE HUGHES SCORES!!! The final score being 6-2.



"It's so exciting to have them support me so much," Brendan Smith said. "Especially after the game, there were just as happy as I was."

"I was pretty nervous for the first period and getting the first couple shots," Nico Daws said. "After that, I settled into it and the pace of the game."
