DeMelo Scores Go-Ahead Goal Late, Jets Defeat Kraken 2-1

The hero of the night was Dylan DeMelo, who scored the game-winning goal in his 600th NHL game, capping off a remarkable individual milestone with a moment of pure elation. Mark Scheifele had also scored for Winnipeg, and Matty Beniers put up the one tally for Seattle. Despite a valiant effort from Joey Daccord, who stopped 34 of 36 shots faced, the Kraken were unable to hold on to a 1-1 tie in the final seconds.    It was a hockey night in Pittsburgh! The Penguins played against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, December 30th. They won with a 4-2 score!

   Drew O'Connor scores first for the Penguins close to the end of first! That being the only goal in first period, the score being 1-0.


   Robert Thomas ties the game in second. Evgeni Malkin scores and gets the Penguins back in the lead! The final score for second period being 2-1.


   Jeff Carter gets the Penguins to a 3-1 score in third! Kasperi Kapanen scores the last goal the Blues get for the rest of the game. CROSBY SCORES AN EMPTY-NETTER!! The final score being 4-2.
