The very same Blackhawks who had just sealed the Penguins' playoff fate in Chicago on Sunday also managed to break their own five-game losing streak in that prior encounter. Beyond the final score, Jarry continued his strong recent play, securing his second shutout in four games, as well as his 21st in the NHL, and Kevin Hayes punctuated the Penguins' offensive effort with a pair of goals. The Penguins head to New Jersey on Friday, and the Blackhawks will be going to Boston on Thursday to take on the Bruins.    It was a hockey night in Pittsburgh! The Penguins played against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, December 30th. They won with a 4-2 score!

   Drew O'Connor scores first for the Penguins close to the end of first! That being the only goal in first period, the score being 1-0.


   Robert Thomas ties the game in second. Evgeni Malkin scores and gets the Penguins back in the lead! The final score for second period being 2-1.


   Jeff Carter gets the Penguins to a 3-1 score in third! Kasperi Kapanen scores the last goal the Blues get for the rest of the game. CROSBY SCORES AN EMPTY-NETTER!! The final score being 4-2.
