Bruins Defeat The Devils With A 3-0 Score, 1/15/24

 






   The Devils had a tough game against the Bruins in Boston on Monday, January 15th. The Bruins beat the Devils with a 3-0 score, this being a good win for Boston.

   The first period was completely scoreless, 0-0.


   Charlie Coyle scores the first goal of the game and his 15th of the season. The final score of the middle frame was 1-0, Boston in the lead.


   David Pastrnak nets one, his 26th of the season! Trent Frederic scores an empty-netter - this being his 13th goal of the season. The final score overall was 3-0.



David Pastrnak on the Bruins 3-0 win against the Devils: "The first period set the tempo for the rest of the game. We had one of the better starts we had for a while. We just try to make sure we keep going... good win to come back and get the two points."


"I'm going to compete and give the team a chance to win every night." Jeremy Swayman spoke after the Bruins win against the Devils.



- Brendan Smith didn't come back out with the rest of the Devils for the second period due to a leg injury.

- Jeremy Swayman made a 31-save shutout against the Devils - this being his third of the season and the 12th in his career. Swayman made it to third place on the list of most career shutouts before age 26.
