Bruins Defeat Tampa Bay With A 7-3 Score! 1/6/24

 






   The Tampa Bay Lightning played in Boston on Saturday, January 6th. The Bruins won with a great 7-3 score after they lost against the Penguins in Boston on January 4th.

   Brayden Point strikes first, the Lightning in the lead by one. Trent Frederic ties up the game only a few minutes after Point's goal! Charlie McAvoy gets Boston in the lead by one - the final score of the first period being 2-1.


   Trent Frederic scores his second of the night, this being his 12th goal of the season. Nikita Kucherov scores, cutting the lead - David Pastrnak answers right back with his 24th goal of the season! Brayden Point cuts the lead with his second goal of the night and his 19th goal of the season. The final score of the second period was 4-3.


   Morgan Geekie scores and gets the Bruins a two-goal lead! Jake DeBrusk gets an empty-netter, Charlie Coyle scoring after - the Bruins win with a 7-3 score.

"I think we did a really good job keeping things simple," Matt Poitras said. "They got lots of skilled guys over there - So, I think we did a good job of trying to contain them and it's great to get a win."


"We got to be able to respond a little bit better than that and carry the momentum over instead of making mistakes." Brandon Hagel said.
