Bruins Win 4-1 Against The Blue Jackets! 1/2/24

   The Bruins played their first game of 2024 against the Blue Jackets in Columbus on Tuesday, January 2nd. Boston won with a great 4-1 score!

   First period was a completely scoreless period.


   Kevin Shattenkirk scores in second, getting the Bruins in the lead first! Kent Johnson scores the first and only goal for Columbus, tying the game. James van Riemsdyk gets the Bruins back in the lead! The final score of second period being 2-1.


   Danton Heinen gets Boston in a two goal lead! Trent Frederic scores the last goal of the game, getting the Bruins to a 4-1 score.



"I'm just happy to contribute in any way I can," James van Riemsdyk said. "The team has been winning, that's the most important thing."



   James van Riemsdyk has become the fastest player to record their first 25 points with the Boston Bruins since Marc Savard in 2006-2007.


   The Bruins now have won four games straight, 23-7-6 (52 points), and overtake the New York Rangers, 25-10-1 (51 points), for the top spot!
