   The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the St. Louis Blues at the Enterprise Center on Tuesday, January 30th. Elvis Merzlikins made 21 saves for Columbus, putting the Blues' 5-game win streak to an end.

   The first period was completely scoreless... 0-0.


   Columbus strikes first - Boone Jenner scored and gave the Blue Jackets a 1-0 lead. The goal was reviewed, being quickly overturned due to the puck hitting the post. The Blue Jackets and the Blues head into the third period with a 0-0 score.


   Dmitri Voronkov scored his 12th goal of the season early into the third period. Voronkov took a cross-crease pass on an odd-man rush from Zach Werenski after Robert Thomas turned the puck over into the Blue Jackets' zone. The Blue Jackets finished with a 1-0 score.




Kevin Hayes after the Blues' 1-0 loss: "We had a slow start. Things have been going well here. I thought we waited too long and it came back to fight us - We'll come back after the break, we'll reset, and get going again."




Notes:

- After getting an assist from Dmitri Voronkov's goal, Zach Werenski moved into sole possession of third place on the Columbus Blue Jackets' all-time assists list with 193 assists.

- Elvis Merzlikins became the fifth Blue Jackets goaltender in franchise history with at least 10 shutouts

-  Adam Fantilli missed his first game of the season due to a left leg laceration he had sustained during the 4-2 loss against the Seattle Kraken on Sunday.

- Dmitri Voronkov stats: 44 GP   12 Goals   13 Assists   25 Points
