Seattle Kraken 9-Game Win Streak! 7-4 Win Against Columbus, 1/13/24

   The Kraken played against the Blue Jackets in Columbus on Saturday, January 13th. The Blue Jackets had the lead, but Seattle took it and won with a 7-4 score. The Kraken has won 9 games straight, a franchise record!

   Ivan Provorov strikes first, getting the Blue Jackets the lead. Jordan Eberle ties up the game with his fifth goal of the season! Provorov scores his second of the night, getting Columbus back in the lead - Jared McCann ties up the game, 2-2. The final score of the first period was 2-2.


   Kirill Marchenko takes the lead back for Columbus! Tye Kartye ties the game back up, 3-3 - Oliver Bjorkstrand gets the Kraken back in the lead by the end of the second frame. 4-3 was the final score of the second period.


   Jared McCann scores his second of the night! Brian Dumoulin scores his third of the season - Emil Bemstrom strikes one, the Kraken still in the lead. Eeli Tolvanen scored the seventh for the Kraken and the last goal of the game - 7-4 was the final.



"We just stuck with it - we were getting our chances and we just had to bury the puck." Jared McCann spoke postgame about the Kraken win against Columbus.



- Andre Burkovsky didn't return for the remainder of the game after the first period due to a lower-body injury.

"We started off well - the first period was a pretty even period," Ivan Provorov said postgame after the Blue Jackets loss against Seattle. "The second, we tried to do a little bit too much, got away from what was working for us in the first - we pushed hard, but sometimes when you try to come from behind, things don't always work out."
