Blackhawks take a 2-1 loss against the Minnesota Wild, 2/7/24

   The Minnesota Wild played against the Blackhawks in Chicago at the United Center on Wednesday, February 7th. It was a close win for either team, however, the Blackhawks, unfortunately, took a 2-1 loss.

   Getting the Wild the 1-0 lead, Jacob Lucchini scored his second NHL goal since the first of January, 2023. Lucchini scored a one-timer from above the circles off a pass by Vinni Lettieri. It was originally ruled as a no-goal until a video review that determined the puck had crossed the goal line.


   Nick Foligno tied up the game 1-1 at 6:16 of the second period. Philipp Kurashev got the puck between the legs of Zach Bogosian and sent a backhanded pass to Foligno, tapping it in from the edge of the crease.


   Marcus Foligno got Minnesota back on top with 9:53 remaining in the final period. M. Foligno tapped in a centering pass from Vinni Lettieri to strike his ninth goal of the season. The Wild takes the 2-1 win.



Notes:

- Vinni Lettieri had two assists in his return since being out due to a lower-body injury since December 30th.

- Filip Gustavsson made 20 saves for Minnesota

- Brock Faber had an assist and has 30 points (four goals, 26 assists) in 50 games... tied with Filip Kuba (2000-01) for the most by a rookie defenseman in Minnesota Wild history.

- Petr Mrazek made his 10th start in the last 13 games for Chicago

- Petr Mrazek made 23 saves for Chicago

- Nick Foligno stats - 44 GP  10 Goals  9 Assists  19 Points
