His story is one of unrivaled greatness on the ice and a fierce, unwavering loyalty to the city that loved him. The Arrival of Le Magnifique: The Savior of a City The hype around Mario Lemieux started almost before he even got here. In the mid-1980s, the Pittsburgh Penguins were a punchline—a franchise teetering on the brink of irrelevance. Their arena was a ghost town, their roster a collection of misfits. Then, on a fateful day in 1984, the draft lotte...

Tying it up in the second period, Jordan Staal shot from the slot off a backhanded saucer pass. Seth Jarvis made the pass to Staal, 13 seconds into the middle frame. Mason Marchment put Dallas back up with a 2-1 lead. Nils Lundqvist circled the net, found Marchment in the circle and Marchment scored a one-timer. Tying it right back up 2-2 late into the period, Jesper Fast got one in when the puck deflected in off his skate at the side of the net.

Jason Robertson gave the Stars back their lead with 3-2 early into the third period. Robertson shot from inside the right face-off circle with a wrist shot off the rush and striking his 18th goal of the season. Matt Duchene scored an empty-netter for the 4-2 final before a goal by Carolina had ended up being challenged for goaltender interference.

Jason Robertson on the Stars' 4-2 win against the Carolina Hurricanes: "I think we just stuck to what our game plan was coming into it. Everyone bought in, just trying to slow them down as much as we could. I thought we did a pretty good job breaking the puck out tonight," - "I'd like to say that road trip we just had was a little sloppy. Obviously, you come back from the break and then you throw us out on the road, getting a tough road trip. But, it's great that we just had this game to kind of get back into it and find our game."
