Brayden Point Scores Two in Lightning 5-3 Victory Against the Golden Knights, 3/19/24
The Tampa Bay Lightning visited the Golden Knights in Vegas on Tuesday, March 19th at the T-Mobile Arena for their fourth straight win. Brayden Point scored two goals, and Nikita Kucherov had one goal and recorded three assists in their 5-3 victory against the Golden Knights. Andrei Vasilevskiy made a total of 24 saves for Tampa Bay, and Adin Hill made a total of 16 saves for Vegas.

Vegas got the 1-0 lead early into the opening 20 at 18:46 when Jonathan Marchessault recorded his 38th goal of the season in his 500th NHL career game. He finished a passing play with Shea Theodore and Jack Eichel on a 3-on-1. Anthony Cirelli tied it at 1-1 at 13:01 with a short-handed goal off a return pass from Brandon Hagel during a 2-on-0. Putting Tampa Bay ahead 2-1, Anthony Duclair swatted the puck into the open net after Nikita Kucherov had swiped his own rebound towards the crease. Duclair's goal had been his third with the Lightning since being acquired in a trade with the San Jose Sharks.
Brett Howden put the Golden Knights back on the board to tie it 2-2 late into the second at 3:08. Howden defeated Andrei Vasilevskiy glove side at the left circle during a 2-on-1 after he took a stretch pass from Keegan Kolesar.
Brayden Point scored to put the Lightning back on top 3-2 at 15:08 of the final frame. He scored on the power play from the right circle, short side. Scoring the final goal for Vegas and tying it again 3-3, Ben Hutton sent a wrister from the high slot through a screen. Point sent another past Adin Hill through traffic at the bottom of the left circle after he had won a race for an intentional dump-in by Nikita Kucherov... With 1:09 left in regulation, Kucherov struck the empty net for the 5-3 final.

- Steven Stamkos recorded two assists, and Keegan Kolesar recorded two assists.
- Nikita Kucherov extended his point streak to 11 games, having five goals and 19 assists.
- Anthony Duclair has five points since playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning after being acquired in a trade with the San Jose Sharks on March 7th (three goals, two assists).
- Brayden Point has scored a total of six goals in his past four games.
- Ben Hutton left late in the third period (undisclosed)... there had been no update after the game.
- Shea Theodore extended his point streak to five games, having five assists.
