Woll’s Shutout Leads Leafs Past Devils in Toronto

  Photo: Andrew MacLean On Tuesday in Toronto, the Maple Leafs hosted the Devils, handing New Jersey their fourth straight loss when the Leafs and Joseph Woll shutout the Devils 4-0. Woll put on an incredible performance, making a total of 33 saves for Toronto. Bobby McMann, Nicolas Roy, Calle Jarnkrok, and Matthew Knies each found the back of the net for the Leafs, while Jacob Markstrom made 26 saves in a difficult losing effort. It was a good win for the Leafs after they lost to the Detroit Red Wings in overtime on Sunday. The Devils head to Columbus on Wednesday to take on the Blue Jackets in hopes of snapping this four-game skid. List Of All Team Captains Entering This 2024-25 NHL Season

   The Seattle Kraken announced on Tuesday, October 8th ahead of their opening game that the second captain in franchise history is forward Jordan Eberle. Mark Giordano had been the first captain in Kraken history, who wore the 'C' on his sweater for 55 games in the 2021-22 season. This role was left vacant since March 22nd, 2022 after Giordano was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs. There are now officially 32 captains in the NHL... so, here's an updated list of all the team captains heading into the 2024-25 season.
