With a relentless barrage of goals that echoed through the American Airlines Center, the Stars dismantled the Los Angeles Kings 6-2 on Friday night, a decisive victory that not only solidified the Stars' dominance but also gave the Kings their second consecutive loss. This win served as a crucial rebound for Dallas, who had their three-game win streak abruptly halted by a 6-4 defeat to the Columbus Blue Jackets just days prior. Leading the charge, Logan Stankoven notched two goals, while Roope Hintz delivered a masterful performance, racking up four assists and achieving a new NHL career high. The Stars will be taking on the St. Louis Blues at home on Sunday, and the Kings head to Enterprise Center on Saturday before their last game on their three-game road trip, which will take place at the United Center against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, March 3rd.

Jason Robertson got the party started early into the opening frame at 15:39 from the left face-off circle on a rebound after he carried the puck out of the Dallas zone when he took a pass from Roope Hintz, skated up through the neutral zone and sent it back to Hintz, who handed it over to Thomas Harley. He shot from the right side, and Robertson got ahold of the puck, putting it home for the 1-0 lead. With a quick response, Warren Foegele put in his 17th goal of the season to knot it up 1-1 on a shot from the backdoor at 13:16 when he was spotted charging the net by Phillip Danault. Matt Duchene untied the knot with a power-play goal to put the Stars back in front 2-1 from the side of the net on a tipped shot with 8:00 on the clock. Robertson sent the puck across to Hintz from the left side, who passed it off to Duchene to find the back of the net. Logan Stankoven extended it to 3-1, hammering home his eighth of the season on a rebound to the left of Darcy Kuemper when Esa Lindell fired a wrister from the middle.
With 15:03 on the clock in the second period, Wyatt Johnston pushed the Dallas lead to 4-1 for his 18th goal of the season with a goal on the power play when the puck deflected off of Roope Hintz and hit Johnston in front of the net. Trevor Moore cut it to 4-2 later into the middle at 6:09 with a wraparound right off the face-off to put up the second Kings tally of the night.
Logan Stankoven struck for the second time of the night early into the third period at 15:54 to make it 5-2 on a wraparound. Jason Robertson got ahold of the puck along the left boards after Roope Hintz sent it along them from the right side, and Robertson passed it back to Hintz, who found Stankoven at the left corner of the net for the wraparound. For the 6-2 final, Sam Steel put in his sixth of the season on a short-handed breakaway with 13:42 on the clock during a Los Angeles power play.
Logan Stankoven on his two goals, playing on a line with Hintz and Robertson, and seeing his goals go in: "It was nice just to pop in a few. I think I've had the opportunities to score and they haven't gone in, so it's nice to make up for a few tonight around the net. ...It was great. I loved playing with those two. I think they both bring a different aspect to the game. Roope with his speed and Robo is pretty smart and can put the puck in the net. A lot of fun playing with those two," - "I think it's just consistent to work for me, you know, first one on the ice for practices and trying to be the last one off the ice. It's just continuous work and it's nice to see it pay off for once."
Sam Steel on playing at home and his shorthanded breakaway goal: "I think you get a little bit more juice playing at home, getting back in your routine. We wanted to kind of bounce back after that last game. It wasn't our best stuff. I love the way we bounced back," - "I kind of picked my head up and didn't really feel any pressure anywhere. So, I had some time to make a move and whatnot. It's nice to get one."

- Wyatt Johnston extended his home point streak to 11 games, becoming the third player in franchise history to post an 11-game home point streak before the age of 22. He joins Mike Modano; 13 GP in 1990-91, and Tom McCarthy; 11 GP in 1981-82.
